Life at Our House

Rare shot of Annie at rest

annieandball1Life at our house is pretty quiet–if you don’t count Annie’s shrieking to have dinner right at 4 p.m. or, better yet, play b-a-l-l (we have to spell it out in front of her) on the driveway.

Larry doesn’t shriek, which I consider one of his more endearing qualities. He speaks when the need arises. Indeed, he can converse with just about anyone on anythingt. He is what some call a People Person.

And me? Not so much. My vocalizations tend to occur most when I’m watching Antiques Road Show, and someone discovers that Aunt Vivian’s ugly vase is worth a whopping $45,000 (“Sell it! Sell it!”) or an episode of HGTV’s House Hunters in which a pair of 26-year-olds refers to a $375,000 house as being in their “price range” (“No way!!”).
